UPDATE: LIVE Announce 2018 Australian Tour With Original Lineup
ORIGINAL STORY: LIVE fans across the nation had a good ol’ froth when it was announced that the band’s OG lineup would be returning to our shores for the first time in over a decade, this November.
The only downside was the fact that they’d only booked three tour dates — in Brisbane, Melbourne and the NSW Hunter Valley.
But now, reinstated frontman Ed Kowalczyk has some news that’ll probably make the dolphins cry (with happiness).
Despite the fact that LIVE’s new Aussie tour hasn’t even kicked off yet, it seems they’re already plotting their next one!
“I can’t say anything else about it right now, they won’t let me — Big Brother won’t let me say anything else about it — but stay tuned,” Kowalczyk tells Music Feeds of the band’s plans for their next tour.
“Basically, people of Perth, gimme a minute. Hold on. Don’t get mad. We’re working on another plan here so stay tuned. I’ll just say that — ‘stay tuned’.”
“The entire country is in our hearts always and we’re trying to get everywhere,” he promises, adding that — while it won’t happen this time around — a full national tour could occur “in the not-too-distant near future”.
“Not this trip but soon thereafter,” he says.
For now though, you can catch LIVE playing three shows down under with fellow US noughties rock hitmakers Lifehouse (who are bound to leave fans ~hanging by a moment~) and The Calling next month, to coincide with the 25th anniversary reissue of their seminal Mental Jewelry LP.
Check out LIVE’s full list of 2017 Aussie tour dates here and stay tuned for our full chat with Kowalczyk, coming soon.
