Lizzo has proven herself to truly be 100% that bitch, as her all conquering hit ‘Truth Hurts’ is now the longest-running #1 song in the US by a solo female rapper.
‘Truth Hurts’, despite being released two years ago, is now spending its fourth week atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. She has now beaten the record that was set by Cardi B in 2017 with ‘Bodak Yellow’. It is also only the third song by a solo female rapper to top the charts at all, along with ‘Bodak Yellow’ and Lauryn Hill’s ‘Doo-Wop (That Thing)’.
Lizzo took to Twitter to commemorate this massive moment, saying that “I fell in love with music when I was 9 years old…I had no idea our love affair would go this far.”
