M83 have unleashed a killer new collaboration, this time with French songstress Mai Lan on vocals and American guitarist Steve Vai.
Following on from Do It, Try It and Solitude, Go! features an incredible, spacey guitar solo from Vai, situated within similarly spacey samples and echoic vocals, built out of an introduction including horns and synths.
On working with Vai, Anthony Gonzalez said in a press release; “We asked for the craziest space solo possible, which wasn’t hard for him.”
It is the third single to be released off their upcoming seventh full length studio album, Junk. The remainder of the record is set to feature more guest appearances from musicians including Beck and Susanne Sundfør.
Junk is set to drop this Friday the 8th of April, with M83 to kick off the Australian leg of their tour on in Melbourne on Tuesday the 10th of May, before playing gigs in Brisbane and Sydney.
