Pop, hip-hop fusion artist Mallrat has teamed up with producer Basenji to bless us with ‘Nobody’s Home’.
The new single comes off the back of ‘Groceries’ which was certified Gold by ARIA and was voted in #7 in triple j’s Hottest 100 over the weekend.
Mallrat has been flogging the Australian pop music scene with tune after tune and this is no exception.
The new track has that infectious lyrical delivery that defines Mallrat’s sound and has all these sweet, layered, little sounds that are arranged in a really cool way, courtesy of Basenji.
Along with the new track they’ve released a trippy accompanying film clip.
The video was shot in Los Angeles and features mystifying choreography with random beautiful shots.
Mallrat’s set to kick off her national tour late next month in her hometown of Brisbane with Basenji, Kota Banks, and NYNE.
See Mallrat’s weirdly wonderful new film clip for Nobody’s Home below.
