Manchester Orchestra Add New Melbourne Show, Supports To 2014 Tour

American rockers Manchester Orchestra have added a second Melbourne show to their 2014 Australian east coast tour, after selling out their first Melbourne date.

Manchester Orchestra’s second performance at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel will take place on Friday, 14th November. The band have also announced that Melbourne band Apes and American singer-songwriter Kevin Devine will be supporting the group throughout the tour.

Manchester Orchestra were last in the country in 2012, and have since released their fourth studio album, Cope. “I worked harder on this record than any record before and really made sure that I carried it through — we all were — carried it through to the finish line,” frontman Andy Hull told Music Feeds Podcast earlier this year.

“I think that’s why I like it so much is ’cause it sounds exactly how I wanted it to sound. It was supposed to sound different than anything else. I wanted to make a record that didn’t sound like anything else.”

Manchester Orchestra’s forthcoming Australian tour will see the band play in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. The tour begins in Brisbane on Wednesday, 12th November. Full tour and ticket details are available below.
