‘Old Town Road’ is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Lil Nas X released yet another remix of the infectious track late last week, featuring Young Thug along with Mason Ramsey – as in, the yodelling Walmart kid – teaming up with the rapper and Billy Ray Cyrus.
And now, the likes of Smash Mouth and Mariah Carey have responded to Lil Nas’ calls for more remixes, prompting the question of exactly how far this behemoth can go.
“Ok Mariah Carey let’s get this remix in,” proposed the viral sensation in a tweet over the weekend, with Carey suggesting the track could be combined with her 1995 collab with Boyz II Men, ‘One Sweet Day’.

SOME-body else is keen to team up with Nas for a remix too, with rockers and living meme Smash Mouth simply saying “let’s do it”.

It’s unclear how much longer the ‘Old Town Road’ machine can continue – but given that it’s just celebrated its 14th week at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, it doesn’t seem like the phenomenon is slowing down anytime soon. Yee haw.
