Canadian singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright has excited her Australian fans by announcing her first Australian tour in 7 years. The tour marks Martha’s return to the Australian stage, with stops planned in both major cities and regional areas of the country.
The tour includes stops in Bendigo and the Blue Mountains, as well as Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide, ensuring fans across the country will have the opportunity to catch her live performance.
Martha Wainwright – ‘Hole In My Heart’
Martha Wainwright is no stranger to Australian audiences, having previously toured the country in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017. She is renowned for her emotive songwriting and powerful vocals. Martha has released six albums to date. Her latest album, Love Will Be Reborn was released in 2021 and has been well-received by critics and fans alike.
The digital deluxe edition of Love Will Be Reborn includes five extra tracks inspired by stories from Martha’s memoir Stories I Might Regret Telling You, offering fans a deeper insight into her life and experiences. Among these tracks are heartfelt tributes to her family, including her father, Loudon Wainwright III, and her mother, Kate McGarrigle.
Martha Wainwright has also ventured into writing, having published her memoir, ‘Stories I Might Regret Telling You’, available now in both English and French. Now, it remains to be seen what the artist has to offer in the upcoming tour in Australia.
