Methyl Ethel are celebrating their new album, Triage – out today – with a five date national tour.
The Triage album tour will see Methyl Ethel take to stages in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane this June.
Triage is the follow up to the Western Australian, alt-pop group’s 2017 release Everything Is Forgotten which saw lead single ‘Ubu’ take home #4 in that year’s Hottest 100.
No stranger to writing a catchy tune, the new album kicks off with ‘Scream Whole’ which is full of snazzy synths and weird melodies.
Methyl Ethel have just polished off the Laneway Festival circuit and are set to go perform in the UK and the US before coming home in June for some national tour dates.
While Methyl Ethel appears on stage as a five-piece, in the studio it’s just Jake Webb.
The multi-instrumentalist, Webb wrote, produced, and recorded the album in his home studio in West Perth and mixed it with Marta Salogni in London at Mute Studio.
Triage is said to be more of a reflective album for Webb’s project, exploring ideas around coming of age. See tour dates and ticketing details below.
