Mid Drift – ‘Play Pretend’
Produced by Jack Nigro, known for his work with Rum Jungle, DMA’s, and Pacific Avenue, ‘Play Pretend’ was recorded in January this year at Sonara Studios. Mid Drift’s vocalist and lyricist, Sarah, shares, “I think a crucial part of your twenties is being your most authentic self and also realizing when you aren’t. I wrote the lyrics when I realized I couldn’t keep ‘playing pretend’ in a relationship where I wasn’t being true to myself. I had this fear of letting life pass me by without truly living how I wanted to.”
‘Play Pretend’ serves as a teaser for their debut EP titled ‘Lemon, Lime and Tan Lines,’ which is set to be released at the end of this year. With its heartfelt lyrics and catchy tunes, ‘Play Pretend’ is sure to resonate with listeners and set the stage for more great music from Mid Drift.
