Mogwai, 65daysofstatic Lead Adelaide Festival 2015 Music Program

The Adelaide Festival of Arts has again unveiled a massive music program for 2015, which includes a stellar line-up of experimental acts including Detroit godfathers of techno Model 500, Post-rock mainstays Mogwai and UK experimental rock legends 65daysofstatic.

With highlights including imaginative interpretations of seminal works and new and legendary names in experimental music Adelaide Festival will run from Friday 27th February until Sunday 15 March 2015.

The music lineup includes British post-punkers The Pop Group, Japanese art metal outfit Vampillia as well as the return of Unsound Adelaide which across three nights will showcase the cream of the crop in the electronic and experimental music world. Chicago afro-futurist Hieroglyphic Being is on that lineup, as well as Japanese psych-rock trio Fushitsusha and contributing producer for Kanye West’s Yeezus Evian Christ.

Other highlights of the exciting 2015 festival program includes a celebration of movie music magic in Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton, a night of swinging 60s cinematic scores from Michael Caine movies in Blow the Bloody Doors Off!! and Eric Mingus and Hal Willner lead a radical reinterpretation of The Who’s classic rock opera in Tommy.
