Morgan Wallen’s concert at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium on August 2, 2024, faced a 40-minute delay due to a security incident. Police arrested Aaron Brown from Winchester, Illinois, who has been charged with a Class E felony of making a terrorist threat in the 2nd degree. Brown is accused of threatening to shoot two members of the Kansas City Chiefs at the event.
The Jackson County Prosecutor’s office stated that the names of the individuals under threat were not disclosed, but notable Chiefs players, including star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, defensive tackle Chris Jones, and Travis Kelce, who is Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, were present on stage with Wallen during the concert.

According to a press release from the Prosecutor’s office, “Kansas City police detectives and intelligence analysts in the Kansas City Fusion Center working at GEHA Field at Arrowhead on Friday observed on X (Twitter) a threat against two individuals, who were members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization, present at the event. The defendant confirmed to police where he was located at Arrowhead. The concert was delayed for 40 minutes while the defendant was located.”
A bond of $15,000 (£11,710) has been set for Brown. Following his arrest, the concert proceeded without further incident.
