MUM and A Common Thought (ACT) have announced that the two have recently been in cahoots to bring together a night of Sydney’s freshest bands and DJs in the name of a good cause.
Known for providing a utopia of different vibes to what you’ll find in other venues around Kings Cross, MUM has become a haven for up-and-coming bands, as well as their thirsty niche market. A watering hole and live music venue frequented by the students of Sydney, the night’s partnership with ACT – an initiative of dedicated Sydney Uni Students – could not be a more appropriate fit to begin making the world a better place.
Previously, A Common Thought implemented A Thousand Words. The NGO put on the event in the hope of raising much-needed funds for a handicapped school for children located in Chattisgarh, India. And the results spoke for themselves, with the night pulling in a serious amount of cash, and due to other streams of financial support, 100% of the profits went straight to the school.
Though the battle is still not over and ACT have new goals in sight, A Common Thought Fundraising Party is your chance to help. While smashing through teapots and listening to great live music, it really is a win win win type situation for all involved. You can check out the full lineup below, and to delve deeper into the world of ACT, venture here.
