Neil Young and Crazy Horse have announced that they will be touring Australia during March of next year to bring their renowned folk-country-rock around the nation in what is booked to a fairly inclusive 7-date tour with stops in WA and SA.
It’s been a busy year for Neil Young and Crazy Horse, who have released not one but two albums in 2012. First came Americana, which marked Young’s first album together with Crazy Horse since 2003′s Greendale, and the first LP with the full Crazy Horse lineup since Broken Arrow in 1996.
Then followed Psychedelic Pill in October, which featured some epically long tracks, including Ramada Inn at 16 minutes and 49 seconds and the near half-an-hour opener, Driftin’ Back, which clocks in at 27 minutes and 36 seconds.
This newly announced tour comes three years removed from Young’s last tour in 2009, which saw the Heat of Gold singer headline the Big Day Out. Young’s 2013 return will be his first Australian tour with Crazy Horse since 2003.
