The Newtown Festival 2011 line-up will be headlined by Stonefield, Dubmarine, Spit Syndicate and Sticky Fingers. The festival usually attracts over 70,000 punters and raises funds for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre services to the disadvantaged.
Along with the bands, there will also be street theatre, kids activities,and workshops, as well as food and market stalls.
Newtown Neighbourhood Centre supports people through community action and provision of services to address their need, focusing on the disadvantaged and vulnerable members in the community. The centre provides services to the aged, people with disabilities, people with mental illness, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and people on low incomes.
