The music lineup for the 39th annual Newtown Festival has arrived, and it’s 100 per cent local, organic and grass-fed.
Curated by singer-songwriter (and Newtown local) Sarah Blasko and booking agency Nathan Farrell Entertainment, this year’s acts will perform at Newtown’s Camperdown Memorial Rest Park in November.
Featuring the likes of Spit Syndicate, Food Court, I Know Leopard, Jack Colwell and Mezko, the roster is bursting with eclectic local talent. Peep the full list, below.
“This year it was super important to put an even greater focus on the local community and atmosphere rather than it becoming just another festival,” says Blasko.
“I believe this program to be a genuine expression of the Inner West music scene and we’ve aimed to make it as diverse as possible.”
Aside from all the music, Newtown Festival 2017 will also feature art, markets, food, drinks, a writers’ tent, a kids entertainment program, an eco village and even a fricken’ dog show!
The event is the primary fundraiser for the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC), which provides programs and services for people doing it tough.
Newtown Festival 2017 will take place on Sunday, 12th November. See the full music lineup below, and more details over at the festival website.
