Australia certainly has its share of rock and roll icons, but few if any of them could also be considered masters in the fields of literature, poetry, and film. Then there is only one, and fans will now be able to experience the mighty Nick Cave in a series of very special solo performances.
Supported by a small ensemble of musicians, the frontman of iconic groups like The Birthday Party, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and Grinderman will play a series of career-spanning concerts, airing tracks from his immense discography, including his latest album, 2013’s Push the Sky Away.
It was supporting that award-winning album that last saw Cave take homeland stages, in what was an acclaimed run of dates in some of the country’s most treasured venues. This tour will be a chance to see a stripped-back Nick Cave, performing in some of the grandest theatres in Australia.
UPDATE 03/07/14: Seven of Nick Cave’s solo shows have already sold out and more dates have been added to the tour, with tickets still selling very fast. Amended tour dates are below.
