Nirvana’s Iconic 1993 ‘Live And Loud’ Performance Coming To Vinyl, Streaming Services

In late 1993, Nirvana performed at Pier 48 in Seattle, with the whole thing being recorded by MTV, who broadcast a short version of the concert. At the time, they had recently performed their lauded MTV Unplugged set in New York. In 2013, the footage was released on DVD as part of the 20th anniversary of the band’s In Utero.

Now, the audio of the legendary performance is being released on vinyl as a 2xLP, as well as coming to streaming services. It’s due for release August 30.

The album’s 17-song tracklist boasts many of the band’s most recognisable tracks, including ‘Drain You’, ‘Sliver’, ‘Lithium’ and ‘Come As You Are’.

As Rolling Stone point out, Live and Loud is the second Nirvana concert film to be released to vinyl this year. Their 1991 gig Live at the Paramount was released back in April.
