Aussie producer What So Not (real name Chris Emerson) has announced a 2018 national tour in support of his upcoming debut album Not All The Beautiful Things.
The Aussie leg of Emerson’s forthcoming world tour will see his live show make its way through some pretty huge venues in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in June, after Not All The Beautiful Things drops on 9th March.
“This will be the biggest, boldest and brightest tour I have ever brought to my home shores,” Emerson says. “Come step into the world I’ve been creating!”
Emerson has also released a new song alongside today’s tour announcement, dubbed ‘Beautiful’, which features Swedish artist Winona Oak.
“’Beautiful’ enters delicately with Winona’s internal dialog,” Emerson says. “There’s a sense of optimism, anxiousness and longing, but also an undertone of sadness, all reinforced with the incredible duality along her vocal range.
“It’s always intrigued me how this song evokes such a feeling of freedom and open space, yet the protagonist sounds quite troubled. I think the hypnotic and intoxicating energy of the production also adds to this perplexity.”
