A very welcome, albeit out of character, slip-up from the Soundwave team tonight has lead to another band being confirmed for the Soundwave 2013 lineup. Drum roll please… Of Mice & Men have been confirmed.
The post-hardcore outfit came roaring into the spotlight after frontman Austin Carlile started the project once he got the flick from his crabcore outfit Attack Attack. Their self-titled 2010 debut earned them a strong fan base Down Under, though they didn’t see our shores until the return of I Killed The Prom Queen, who brought the band to Australia for the reunion tour dates.
The band has been a frequent on the Vans Warped Tour as well as many other metal-orientated festivals. Soundwave 2013 will be their long-awaited festival debut on our shores. They will be bringing with them their sophomore album The Flood, which dropped last year.
The news came in a bizarre situation. Soundwave, which is normally presented as a united, impenetrable front, seemed to get their wires crossed, with the admin of the SoundwaveFest Twitter account confirming the news like it was already known in response to a fans tweet. Check out the chaos below.
