Olivia Rodrigo is proving to be the absolute force in popular music, as she’s once again made history with her latest single, the pop-rock tinged ‘good 4 u’.
The song, Rodrigo’s third single from her just released debut album SOUR, has debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 – the second of the three singles to do so, following on from her monster debut hit ‘drivers license’.
This makes SOUR the first album in history to spawn two singles that debuted atop the chart – cop that, The Beatles.
“GOOD 4 U IS NUMBER ONE!!!!!!!! IM SO HAPPY AHHHHHH!!!!!” Rodrigo wrote on Instagram of the milestone, tagging co-writer Dan Nigro as well as co-producer Alexander 23.

The song debuted at #2 on both the ARIA Singles Chart and the UK’s Official Charts, with #1 on both charts being held by Tion Wayne & Russ Millions’ ‘Body’.
SOUR, which is expected to top album charts globally, dropped on Friday, 21st May, and Twitter had some strong emotional and nostalgic reactions to it.
