OneFour have just announced their first live show in two years, with the Western Sydney drill collective set to perform in Darwin next month.
The group will perform at Opium Nightclub in Darwin on Friday, 19th March, marking their debut NT show. Tickets are on sale now here.
The collective announced the performance via their Instagram account earlier today, sharing a poster of members Spenny and J Emz. “About to make history with this one,” they wrote.
The upcoming appearance will indeed mark the group’s first live shows in quite some time. In 2019, the Western Sydney collective’s Australian dates were cancelled, citing police pressure on venues.
“This continues a pattern of concert cancellations which deny us a platform to perform and single out our fan base,” the group wrote at the time.
“To be clear there has been no incident at any of our live concerts and why the band would want or allow that to change for our fans does not make any sense.”
Last year saw OneFour release their debut EP Against All Odds following a string of attention-grabbing singles. The EP’s tracklist included fan favourite ‘Home and Away’, as well as a collaboration with The Kid LAROI titled ‘My City’.
In 2020, the collective also released a pair of collaborations with New York rapper A$AP Ferg. In May, Ferg featured on OneFour’s track ‘Say It Again’, with the two acts linking up when Ferg was in Australia for Hidden Festival early last year.
The relationship came full circle back in September, when OneFour guested on Ferg’s Floor Seats II track ‘Aussie Freaks’.
