Finnish avant-garde metal band Oranssi Pazuzu has just unveiled their upcoming album, Muuntautuja, set to drop on October 11th through Nuclear Blast Records. To tease fans, they’ve released a new single, “Valotus.”
Known for their unique blend of black metal and psychedelia, Oranssi Pazuzu delivers an experimental sound with “Valotus.” The track is characterized by its clash of instrumentation and vocals, creating a haunting and unsettling atmosphere that’s become a signature of the band. Guitarist Ikon shared insights into the album’s creative process. “Our experimentation with samplers and electronics led us to explore the concept of nightmarish rave music,” Ikon explained. “We aimed to merge danceable beats with intense waves of noise and distortion.”
This new single follows the release of the album’s title track a few months ago, offering a glimpse into the band’s evolving sound. Muuntautuja promises to be a bold exploration of contrasting musical elements, blending rhythmic and abrasive influences into something truly original.
