Rock icon and man-who-won’t-stop-touring, Ozzy Osbourne, has announced his “final” world tour, which will supposedly take him until 2020 to complete.
The tour will kick off in Mexico and South America in 2018, with Osbourne celebrating his time as a solo artist and as the frontman for metal legends Black Sabbath.
While it’s been confirmed that the tour will include European and North American shows, Australian dates are yet to be announced. That said, there’s more than enough time before 2020 to squeeze some in, so Music Feeds has reached out to Osbourne’s main tour promoter Live Nation for comment.
(UPDATE 08/11/17: In a statement to Music Feeds, Live Nation says, “At this stage there are no plans for the tour to come to Australia.”)
Osbourne last toured Australia in 2016 with Black Sabbath, as part of the band’s supposedly final tour as a group.
“People keep asking me when I’m retiring,” Osbourne says in a new statement. “This will be my final world tour, but I can’t say I won’t do some shows here and there.”
Osbourne has played over 2,500 shows in his five decades in the game, and his “final” world tour will see him perform alongside longtime collaborators Zakk Wylde (guitar), Blasko (bass), Tommy Clufetos (drums) and Adam Wakeman (keyboards).
His latest world tour announcement also comes after he was confirmed as a headline act for the 2018 editions of Download Festival in the UK and Spain.
