Paramore’s Hayley Williams Is Launching Her Solo Career In 2020

Paramore‘s vocal powerhouse Hayley Williams — who is definitely not dead — will be going solo in 2020, revealing she’s “made something I’m going to call my own”.

The pop punk kween just celebrated her 31st birthday, and took to Twitter to thank fans for all the bday love, while throwing in a cheeky teaser for what next year holds in store.

“Thanks so much for all the birthday wishes,” she writes. “30 was a very important year. 31 will be too.

“I’m putting out some music next year,” she continued, in confusingly crossed-out text. “With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own.

“It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January.”

Fans, naturally, went into meltdown mode at this news:

While some questioned what it would all mean for Paramore:

Paramore’s last’s album was 2017’s After Laughter, which saw original member Zac Farro return on drums after the departure of bassist, Jeremy Davis.

Hayley opened up about the future of the band back in August of this year, admitting she “really [doesn’t] know what’s next” for Paramore.

Hopefully some time to experiment with a solo career will leave her feeling rejuvenated for new Paramore material in the not-too-distant-future!
