Party Dozen Announce ‘Crime In Australia’ 2024 Album Tour

Party Dozen have announced a headlining tour of the country for late September and early October 2024. It comes in support of their fourth studio album Crime In Australia, which is set for release on Friday September 6th via Grupo – the independent label founded by drummer Jonathan Boulet. The list of tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

To coincide with the tour announcement, the band have shared the third single from Crime In Australia entitled ‘Money & The Drugs’. The song was premiered live by the Sydney noise-rock duo back in January, while on tour in support of American punk band OFF! The band then took the song across the ditch to Wellington, performing at this year’s Camp A Low Hum. While there, the band filmed a music video for the song – which can be viewed below.

“The first section is inspired by a sound that we heard at the airport pick-up zone in Sydney,” said Boulet in a press statement regarding the new single. “A small aircraft coming in to land low would project this low bending rumble into the cement car park filling it with resonant frequencies.” Boulet also described ‘Money & The Drugs’ as “one of our most fun songs to play live”. However, he said, “sometimes too much of a good thing can land you in deep water. Sometimes this song gets away from us.”

In addition to supporting OFF! in 2024, Party Dozen also toured extensively throughout May and June in support of Regurgitator on their Invader national tour. Earlier this month, the band launched the 13th concert series for boutique Sydney venue Phoenix Central Park – performing in the carpark of the venue rather than its usual staging. In November, the band will head to Europe in support of Amyl & The Sniffers.
