Perth Pop Shooting Star CHEZ Returns With Spellbinding New Single ‘deja vu’

Boorloo/Perth-based artist CHEZ has returned with another hypnotic new pop gem dubbed ‘deja vu’. Produced by the artist herself alongside Caleb Lenzo and Reece Lenzo, the heartfelt song soundtracks CHEZ’s internal monologue, at a time when she was feeling particularly vulnerable.

“I will never forget the session we wrote ‘deja vu’,” CHEZ explains in a press statement. “I had just got off an 8-hour call with my A&R Ron, discussing peeling back the layers in my songwriting and letting people in. Being extremely introverted and filled with so much self-doubt – the thought of letting people see the core of me was too terrifying.”

CHEZ continues: “I remember crying – thinking I wasn’t good enough – that I’m not capable to let people in and show them how I feel about myself or my experiences. We went back and forth for hours in the studio; I wanted to quit so many times. And eventually, it just all poured out…It was the quickest song I ever wrote.”

CHEZ has just wrapped up a tour supporting Set It Off, after a huge year in the live arena that’s seen her share the stage with Scene Queen and sell out her debut headline show.
