Pete Murray Announces 55-Date Solo Acoustic Tour

Pete Murray has announced the biggest tour of his career: A four-month, 55-date run of shows that will take in every single state and territory of Australia. The tour will see Murray performing solo and acoustically, marking his first-ever headlining tour of his home country without his band. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.

“It’s been on the cards for a while,” Murray said in a press release announcing the tour. “I’ve done it overseas and people love it – so it’s about time I did it in my own country. There will be some story telling of my songs, my life and career. The shows will be very intimate.” Murray will be joined on all dates by country-pop singer-songwriter Rachel Fahim and Electric Mary guitarist Brett Wood.

In conjunction with the tour announcement, Murray has shared the next single from his as-yet-untitled seventh studio album. ‘I Am Fire’ follows on from last year’s ‘Wouldn’t It Be Good’, and was co-produced by Luke Palmer alongside Murray himself. A music video for the track, directed by the team of Nick Wyatt and Dave Blackley, can be viewed below.

Pete Murray – ‘I Am Fire’

“The song is inspired by normal people who stand up against regimes and who stand up for humanity and risk their own lives to save others,” said Murray regarding his latest single. “They are the real heroes of the world. The courage they have is enormous, and the love they give is forever. This song is also about normal heroes, like mums and dads who are always there for their kids.”

The Solo Acoustic tour will mark Murray’s first national run since 2023, which came in support of his greatest-hits compilation The Best Of Pete Murray. Murray and his band played selected shows throughout 2024 – including appearances at concert series such as Red Hot Summer, By The C, Hello Sunshine, Great Southern Nights and Night At The Barracks.
