Post Malone has opened up about the challenges of extreme fame, revealing that he thinks it would be difficult to handle the level of celebrity enjoyed by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
In a recent interview with The New York Times, Post Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, expressed his unease about achieving the level of fame that Taylor Swift and Beyoncé have. “I can’t even imagine being at their level – it must suck,” he said.
Friendship Behind Taylor Swift And Post Malone
Post Malone, who has collaborated with both superstars on their 2024 albums, shared some behind-the-scenes insights from his experiences working with them. He described how Taylor Swift had to be completely concealed to move around her video shoot for their song Fortnight. “Taylor needed an umbrella and drapes over the golf cart so drones and a helicopter couldn’t get footage,” Post Malone explained. “That’s so much pressure.”
Similarly, working with Beyoncé on their track LEVII’S JEANS was equally intimidating for Post Malone. The two never met in person; instead, Beyoncé’s team sent the track to Post’s Utah compound, and they communicated about the music via text message. “It was terrifying,” Post Malone admitted, adding that he felt “just honoured to be in these people’s vicinity.”
Post Malone’s debut country album, F-1 Trillion, is set for release on 16 August.
