First, and newly released second Powderfinger shows, in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as shows in Newcastle, Gold Coast and Wollongong all sold out by 9:27am this morning.
The Perth show, as well as a newly released second show, sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale. The shows in Adelaide, Townsville and Ballarat also sold out quickly with a second Townsville show, on Saturday, 2 October, now on sale.
This will be Powderfinger’s first major national tour since the hugely successful Across the Great Divide tour with Silverchair almost three years ago, and their last, and fans overwhelmingly showed their support for the band today with over 140,000 tickets already sold.
Joining Powderfinger for all but the first four shows on Sunsets will be old friends, Jet. The Vines will be joining the tour for the first four shows in Newcastle, Gold Coast and Brisbane.
