It’s been a little under a month since the tragic and devastating passing of The Prodigy frontman Keith Flint, and yesterday fans from all across the world have lined the streets of Essex for the visionary musician’s funeral.
Taking to social media, The Prodigy graciously invited fans to line the streets of the funeral’s procession route and lay flowers at the church where the service was being held.
“Fans are invited to line the procession route,” the band wrote, “to pay their final respects & ‘raise the roof’ for Keef Flint!”
The Guardian spoke to 36-year-old Araks Azarian, who flew to Essex from Australia for the service, and will be flying back tomorrow night for work on Monday morning.
“I’ve been doing it for years,” she said, “to see the boys, and this is going to be my last chance to do it.”
Upon news of Flint’s passing, tributes from fellow musicians poured in online. His death was later confirmed to be a suicide.
Rest In Peace, Keith Flint. Thank you for everything.
