Red Hot Chili Peppers’ New Music Video Is About An Aussie Chick’s Warped LA Adventures

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have returned with another trademark twisted music video for their latest single Sick Love.

Living up to its name, the Chili’s freshest cut from their eleventh LP The Getaway gets a cartoon gross-out, and interestingly stars an Aussie woman as its central character.

Directed and illustrated by the Newcastle-born artist Beth Jeans Houghton, the barf-worthy Metalocalypse-style clip follows the adventures of a Sydney sheila who buggers off to the City Of Angels, where all kinds of totally weird and skeevy shit unfolds.

An animated version of Chilis frontman Anthony Kieidis also makes an animated cameo, totally nude of course.

Sick Love marks the third single to be sliced off RHCP’s latest disc, which was notably produced by Danger Mouse as opposed to their longtime collaborator Rick Rubin.

Catch its weird-ass animated music video below, but don’t blame us if it makes you want to cancel your next trip to LA.
