Red Hot Chili Peppers Share Funky New Jam ‘We Turn Red’

Rock icons Red Hot Chili Peppers have dropped yet another new song from their forthcoming 11th studio album The Getaway, today sharing the delicate but oh-so-funky new track We Turn Red.

We Turn Red (below) features some juicy bass work from Flea, staggered vocals frontman Anthony Kiedis and just all-round funky vibes. The track has an interesting structure too, with delicate bridge sections and even a hat-tip to avocados.

We Turn Red arrives about two weeks after the Chilis shared The Getaway‘s super-smooth title track, and about a month since they dropped the album’s lead single, Dark Necessities.

The Getaway is set for release on 17th June, featuring 13 new songs produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Radiohead’s longtime producer Nigel Godrich.

In other Chili Peppers news, the band have announced they will take part in a round of Carpool Karaoke on The Late Late Show with James Corden, to be broadcast on Monday, 13th June.

Prepare yourself for that with a sweaty teaser clip below We Turn Red, which you can stream in full below.
