R.E.M. has released a special GIF album cover for their upcoming greatest hits release. The cover has been called the ‘first ever GIF album cover’ and the intent is to ‘usher in a new era of album artwork’.
They’ve also released a promo video for the album you can check out below. The 3 minute video fast forwards through the 30 years the band were together and also features short clips of a number of their video clips.
Part Lies, Part Heart, Part Truth, Part Garbage, 1982 – 2011 is due out on November 15th.
