Ringo Starr is headed to Australia next February for a national tour that includes most major cities. Music Feeds reported earlier in the month that the former Beatle had confirmed an Australian tour with his All Starr band, but at the time no specific dates were given.
Now the word is out that Ringo will be performing at Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and…wait for it…Adelaide and Perth. The 5-date tour will see Ringo joined by the same All Starr lineup, which just completed a tour of North America. The current backing band is made up of Gregg Bissonette, Mark Rivera, Todd Rundgren, Richard Page (Mr.Mister), Gregg Rolie (Santana & Journey) and Steve Lukather (Toto).
Fans lucky enough to acquire tickets should expect a plethora of Ringo classics, including Yellow Submarine, Little Help From My Friends, It Don’t Come Easy, Wings, and Photograph. Internet pre-sale tickets via Ticketek are available from 2pm Friday, November 2 and 5pm Tuesday, November 6 unless pre-sale allocation is sold out during the fist round. General public tickets go on sale from 9am Wednesday, November 7.
