The lineup for Rottofest 2014, Rottnest Island’s sixth annual weekend festival of comedy, film, and music, has been announced. This year, curator Vulture Culture is proud to announce the event’s best lineup yet, with performances from Andy Bull, Panama, Rainy Day Women, and more.
In addition to the 12 musical acts that are set to perform across five venues on the island, Rottofest 2014 will feature one of the festival’s strongest comedy lineups yet, including appearances from Chappelle’s Show‘s Donnell Rawlings, John Safran, Dayne Rathbone, and Claire Hooper.
Topping this year’s musical lineup is Andy Bull, who’ll be making his way over to the island as part of his Sea of Approval national tour, celebrating his latest LP of the same name, which Music Feeds‘ Sam Murphy lauded for its “lyrical growth, willingness to experiment” and sublime melodies.
This year’s event will also host Australia’s Funniest Shorts, a curated selection of Australia’s funniest short films and filmed sketches. Plus, to celebrate its sixth year as a treasured, headline-making Western Australian staple, Rottofest 2014 is set to launch with a new opening comedy gala.
Rottofest is an 18+ event that runs Friday, 19th September through to Sunday, 21st September 2014. Early Bird tickets are now on sale from the Rottofest website until 7th August or while stocks last.
