Ryan Adams has announced a set of new Australian tour dates in support of his forthcoming 16th studio album, Prisoner.
Adams was in the country late last year for an exclusive Sydney show, but he’s going to share the love around this time. The American singer-songwriter will return to Australia in May, to play some pretty huge venues in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, where he’ll be supported by Sydney trio Middle Kids.
Prisoner will be released on 17th February, and will be Adams’ first original album since 2014’s self-titled album, which is a long time in Adams’ world of super-fast releases. His previous album was a cover of Taylor Swift’s album 1989.
The last Adams did an extensive tour in Australia was back in 2015, when he played Splendour In The Grass and a number of sideshows.
