Sage Francis December Australian Tour Announced

Following a successful tour with Swedish hip-hop outfit Looptroop last year, Sage Francis has announced he will return Down Under this December for a limited run of new shows. This tour will see the acclaimed rapper and spoken-word poet hit up venues in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

Francis will be in the country celebrating the release of his highly anticipated fifth full-length studio effort, Copper Gone, which comes at the end of a four-year recording hiatus. Francis released the album in June via his Strange Famous Records label and it has since entered the coveted Billboard Top 200 chart.

Copper Gone was produced by Francis’ label-mate Prolyphic and bears the critically lauded rapper’s trademark shifting dynamics, whip-smart lyricism, deftly crafted hooks, and deep personal and socio-political themes, while simultaneously showcasing Francis’ ability to create fully realised hip-hop albums.

Joining Francis for all four dates of his December Down Under tour will be Sydney-based outfit Fait Accompli. Sage Fracis’ 2014 tour is set to kick off at the Adelaide Uni Bar on Wednesday, 3rd December, concluding at Brightside, Brisbane on Sunday, 7th December. Tickets for all shows are on sale now.
