Australia’s favourite busking band Set Sail have released the claymation inspired video for their single The Boat Song. The catchy summer tune was released around 9 months ago and has been a hit since. After returning from their world busking tour, the band hit a rock when they were informed that member of the band, Brandon, was to be deported due to an improper visa. A petition was set up to bring him back and currently 17,000 have ‘signed’ the petition. However, no word has emerged on the fate of Brandon.
They recorded their EP at what was one of Sydney’s most fun recording studios, BJB Recording Studios, before it closed down.
The Boat Song video is the first release we have had from the band, and we should be expecting a whole lot more over the next year, provided all goes well with the customs officials. The video clip, which is available below, depicts the wonderful story of a ship adventure gone wrong. Hat’s off to Australia’s best busking talent for this latest one!
