Serial mad dog Seth Sentry has done us super proud while representing Australia at SXSW – not only did he score an opening slot for an LL Cool J gig off the back of a solid set on at the Bold Stage, but he will also be performing on the very high-profile Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
Sentry’s SXSW performance stole the hearts of onlookers all over the world who were deeply engaged in an interactive voting experience, picking him as their all-round favourite of the night. He kicked things off on the Bold Stage, live streamed via Fuse on Friday night, with fellow rising stars Devin Miles and Snow Tha Product. The three performers were given a 1-song time limit to prove their worth in front of what was no doubt a tough crowd. It only took Sentry minutes to prove his worth and receive the most amount of votes.
It didn’t stop there for Sentry, who has fast become a sweetheart of the Australian hip hop scene and has now potentially cracked into the US hip hop scene now – he went on to perform the opening performance for the absolutely massive roster made up of LL COOL J, Public Enemy, Ice Cube and Doug E. Fresh.
Sentry will also be performing on Kimmel Live on Thursday, 4th April, a slot that has proven to be the kick-off point for many us careers in the past.
