According to local news reports, a shooting broke out last night at hip hop artist T.I.‘s concert at New York’s Irving Plaza. Officials have confirmed that at least four people have been wounded, with reports suggesting one person has been killed.
At 10:15pm local time, multiple shots were fired at the Manhattan venue, which was holding around 1000 punters. Officials have confirmed that a 34 year old man was shot in the chest, a 33 year old man was shot in the stomach, and a 26 year old woman was shot in the leg.
According to the NY Times, the 33-year-old man has been pronounced dead.
A fourth victim with a gunshot wound reportedly walked into NYU medical centre, but their condition has not been confirmed. The other victims were rushed to Bellevue Hospital.

Witnesses reported hearing an argument on the balcony at the venue between two people, which was closely followed by gunshots. T.I. the rapper was just about to walk on stage when the shots were fired. Nobody has been arrested yet, however police have blocked off the streets and are investigating the area.
21-year-old concert attendee Ayo Fagbemi said T.I.’s D.J. was playing songs to warm up the crowd. “Right when he was about to go on I heard two gunshots, and right after there was a stampede. There were at least three rounds, but after the second one was when people started running.”
Fan footage captured the crowd scattering as gun shots were fired.
UPDATE 27/05/16: Rapper Troy Ave has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after the New York Police department released footage of the shooting.
