Sia Randomly Crashes US ‘Survivor’ Finale

Sia is as unpredictable as she is talented. Which is why it was a big surprise – and yet no surprise whatsoever – that she just decided to swan into the US Survivor series finale studio taping sesh, declare her presence and then donate a massive sum of money to a guy for taking care of a live chicken.

True story.

As Hollywood Life reports, the Aussie popstar shocked everyone, including the US show’s host Jeff Probst, when she yelled out from the studio audience, “Hi, I’m Sia!”

Old mate then invited her up onstage while stressing to the crowd that this was totally unplanned and that he frankly had no idea why TF the Grammy Award-winning pop sensation was even there.

But Sia took full advantage of her ambush-cameo to address one of the Survivor finalists, Tai, who apparently spent a large portion of his time on the show taking care of a live chicken.

“I could not let Tai go home without saying that you’re authenticity and your care for animals really inspired me,” Sia said.

“And so I want to donate $50,000 to you. I want to donate $50,000 to your choice of animal charity. And I just wanted to say thank you for showing America how to be kind to animals.”

It’s really hard to imagine Sia in a Survivor style situation. Those giant vision-inhibiting wigs would likely spell disaster in the jungle (she’d be helpless against predators lurking in the periphery, for instance).

But “big Survivor fan” is nonethless another quirky trait that we can add to the list of “things we didn’t know about Sia”, right up there with “mysterious and inhumanly talented tooth fairy who flutters around the world bestowing cash gifts upon people who have earned her good graces”.

Meanwhile, Sia has just announced her first tour dates in five years, over in the US and Europe.

Hopefully Australia will follow.
