UPDATE 16/09/16: Skepta’s Australian tour has now been officially cancelled.
It feels like UK grime master Skepta only just left the country, having been here earlier in the year for Brisbane’s FOMO festival, as well as Field Day and Origin NYE to welcome in 2016. Now he’s announced that he’ll be coming back down under in September for a four-show headline tour.
After three albums, Skepta dropped what would become his worldwide breakthrough release Shutdown – a track that has become synonymous with grime music as a genre. Now, to celebrate the release of his new album Konnichiwa – he’ll play shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Sydney.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, 26th May at 10am local time. Full ticketing details available below.
UPDATE 3/06/2016: Skepta has added extra tour dates in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.
UPDATE 20/07/2016: Skepta has added fellow UK grime export and original Boy Better Know member, FRISCO as the main support for his full run of dates this September.
UPDATE 31/08/16: Skepta has rescheduled a number of his upcoming Aussie tour dates. Check updated tour details, below.
