American singer-songwriter, model, actress and all round indie starlet Sky Ferreira has finally confirmed her debut trip to Australian stages, announcing a one night only affair at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory this March.
The short stopover will see Ferreira take the intimate club stage armed with tunes from debut album Night Time, My Time, an effort that Music Feeds recently characterised as “hedonistic and youthful,” no doubt in part aided by the striking photograph that graced its cover. Ferreira recently spared rumours of a Splendour 2014 appearance when she told Triple J‘s The Doctor, “I’m definitely coming in July for a festival, I think. I’m not quite sure [of the exact date], but it’s in my summer.”
Ferreira later told the theMusic, “I have no idea where I’m actually playing, but I’m coming in March. I thought it was July.” The Splendour rumours still abound however, when the young starlet added, “Maybe I am coming back in July, but I’m definitely coming in March.”
Direct from US tours with Vampire Weekend and Smith Westerns, not to mention a massive arena tour with Miley Cyrus, Sky Ferreira’s Sydney nighttime soiree is not to be missed. Her acclaimed debut Night Time, My Time is out now via EMI.
