American jazz fusion group Snarky Puppy are returning down under in 2025 to celebrate the 10th birthday of their seminal album, 2014’s We Like It Here.
The Texas-bred collective has announced a five date run of theatre dates for May 2024, hitting up stages in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
Snarky Puppy – ‘Lingus’
Fans can expect to hear their favourite songs from the album as well as other gems from Snarky Puppy’s huge discography.
And that’s not all, the five-time Grammy award winning band will also be releasing a completely remixed, remastered and reimagined version of We Like It Here, featuring brand new and previously unreleased alternative takes, on Friday, 6th December in honour of the record’s 10th lap around the sun.
Formed by primary composer Michael League in 2004, Snarky Puppy are known for their unique blend of funk, rhythm & blues, classic soul, modern gospel, new tech, fusion and jazz, with as many as 19 live members in regular rotation.
They last paid us a visit for Bluesfest 2024.
