Southbound organisers have added six Aussie acts to the festival’s 2015 lineup, while also releasing official set times and maps to help punters plan out their weekend.
WA trio Crooked Colours will bring their dark electronica to Southbound after pleasing crowds at Laneway Festival earlier this year. The reverberant guitar tones of pop experimentalists Methyl Ethyl will also be heading to the Busselton event.
The JB Seed, an initiative started by John Butler to help support up-and-comers, will bring the tunes of Melbourne singer-songwriter Jim Lawrie to Southbound punters in January. The festival’s most recent Stagebound competition saw thousands of votes, with Apache being named the winners and given the opportunity to make their festival debut.
Local DJs Tina Says and Troy Division have also joined the Southbound lineup, and will play the festival’s Coconut Club stage.
Festival organisers have released play times and maps for the event, which are available to view in full, below. They’ve also said that punters should be on the lookout for more news regarding “exciting changes” to the Southbound experience in the next few weeks.
Today’s lineup additions join an all-star list of acts already announced to play Southbound, including alt-J, Glass Animals, Julian Casablancas + The Voidz, Run The Jewels, SBTRKT and Vance Joy. Full lineup and festival details are also available below.
