Speed Announce 2025 Homecoming Tour With Thailand’s Whispers

Speed have announced a national Australian tour, taking place from mid-July into early August 2025. The shows will mark the Sydney hardcore band’s final Australian shows for 2025, as they will spend the rest of the year fulfilling overseas touring commitments. The full list of tour dates, as well as ticketing information, can be found below.

Joining the band as main support for the entire run are Whispers and Feel The Pain. The former are a Thai band from Bangkok, who describe their sound as “evilcore” and will be touring Australia for the first time as part of this line-up. They released their debut studio album, Yom-Ma-Lok, in 2024. The latter, meanwhile, are a young hardcore band from Newcastle. They recently opened New Bloom Festival in Sydney, and have supported the likes of Miles Away, Kovo, Scorn and Secret World.

Speed – ‘We See U’

Speed were meant to complete a regional Australian tour in January 2025, but the tour was postponed and rescheduled after it was revealed that the band’s friend Chang-Wook Yeo – also known as “Aje” – had gone missing in the Blue Mountains, and that members of the band were close contacts in the search. Yeo’s body was found later that week.

“We sincerely thank the countless people who have offered help, support and understanding,” the band wrote at the time. “The outpouring of love worldwide is a testament to the remarkable impact Aje had on so many far and wide.”

Over the weekend, the band became the first-ever Australian hardcore band to perform at Coachella. Other Australian acts on the bill included Amyl & The Sniffers and Glass Beams, plus a cameo from Troye Sivan during Charli XCX‘s main-stage set for the remix of her song ‘Talk Talk’.
