Canberra’s Spilt Milk festival has added one more (probably final) act to its 2018 lineup, after announcing two replacement acts for Childish Gambino, who pulled out of the event last month.
Announced today as Spilt Milk’s new addition, Canberra indie rockers YOUNG MONKS have joined the roster after winning a triple j Unearthed competition, before the festival hits Commonwealth Park on Saturday, 17th November.
The group released their self-produced debut album Swamp Creek earlier this year. At the time, the band said:
“We wanted to develop and explore the idea of the unconscious mind linked to the spiritual being, and across the 22 tracks we continue to visit and revisit being in a dream-state or a sense of altered reality… a transition from the space in-between being asleep to being awake, from vision within this world to what we see within our minds, it all exists within the domain of the imaginary.”
Earlier this week, off-site pill testing was ruled out for Spilt Milk 2018, after the ACT Greens suggested the service could be provided outside the festival grounds.
