Spin Doctors are officially heading back to Australia for the first time since 1993 (!!!)
The legendary alt-rock/funk-rock trailblazers will hit the country in May 2026 for a massive 10-date tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of their chart-smashing debut album Pocket Full of Kryptonite -and yep, they’re playing the album in full. That means ‘Two Princes’, ‘Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong’, the deep cuts, the weird ones, the funky ones – the whole glorious 90’s nostalgia trip.
Spin Doctors – ‘Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong’
Even better? They’re not just playing the major cities. The Doctors are packing their stethoscopes (sorry) and heading into key regional markets too, bringing their electrifying, jam-happy live show to fans in Fremantle, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Sydney, Townsville, Brisbane, and the Sunshine Coast. Basically: if your town has a functioning PA system and a good pub nearby, they’re probably playing it.
It’s a long-overdue return, with frontman Chris Barron commenting: “I lived in Australia when I was a kid… It’s been something like 30 years since we played Australia… Way too long! What have we been thinking?!? I’m beside myself with anticipation.”
Drummer Aaron Comess adds: “We’re so grateful for all the support you’ve given us over the years. We’ll be playing Pocket Full of Kryptonite in its entirety, plus other songs and even a few covers. It’s going to be really special.”
Released in 1991, Pocket Full of Kryptonite was a global phenomenon – hitting #1 in Australia, going Platinum, and becoming one of the defining alt-rock albums of the 90s. Its two monster singles, ‘Two Princes’ and ‘Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong’ were absolute radio and MTV staples, immortalising the band as one of the era’s most recognisable sonic signatures: funky, hooky, playful and ridiculously catchy.
If you’ve ever air-guitar’d the “buh-donk-donk” riff in ‘Two Princes’, this tour is pretty much your destiny.
