Richard Ashcroft Stormed of stage after playing just one song at Splendour in The Grass on the weekend.
Ashcroft was playing with his band United Nations of Sound to a very small crowd while The Pixies and Empire of the Sun were playing to huge crowds on other stages at the festival.
Ashcroft’s management stated that ‘the singer lost his voice’.
He threw his tambourine on the ground and told the small crowd watching him to go watch The Pixies instead.
This was his first tour of Australia hopefully the next one will be more enjoyable.
