Hirsute New South Wales singer-songwriter Steve Smyth must be well and truly recovered after breaking his jaw in a Newtown altercation earlier this year, seeing as he has just extended his national Exits album tour by more than 35 dates, taking him well into March 2015.
Smyth has already picked back up on the road for his rescheduled dates and has now announced a second run for early 2015, covering major cities and regional towns across Australia starting with a huge New Years Day event at Sydney’s Vic On The Park and will continue until Sunday, 8th March when he plays the Port Fairy Folk Festival.
Steve Smyth was also recently added to the mammoth Byron Bay Bluesfest line-up where he’ll play the three day event in April with the likes of Lenny Karvitz and The Black Keys whose bass player, Gus Seyffert, actually produced Exits with Beck and Thom York’s drummer, Joey Waronker, in Los Angeles.
